TGI IS BACK --- With a thoughtful reminder..

This is indeed a new generation for The Graffiti Inn...

I know it's been a long while...  And things will indeed happen... But to truly appreciate art, you can't always seek to capture it, but just to enjoy it...

Our love for the arts will never fade, and we give back simply what the world will allow us to experience.

...---+8+---...
Enjoy yourself..
Take your time..
Experience Peace of Mind..

-The Goddess is Beautiful-
***+8+***

Don't spend your whole life in front of an illuminated screen, if you seek to gain peace.
Cherish the beauty around you and cast away those ugly feelings of doubt.
Soon you'll realize, all that fear is  unnecessary, shed yourself of it.
Be who you truly are...

Gangbanging the Box.... truck that is {Union Square, LES}

I like that title...

Saw this superfunky box-truck out on Union Sq., in Manhattan, yes New York City... Union Square is already know as an artsy and hip area, but this piece made me stop and take a second look. I love the style of the original art work, of course there's a bunch of stuff layered on top, but you can see the original GANG graffiti shining through. Read on for more pics...

Some dude directly in the way of the camera... I actually think its' a pretty cool shoot. Don't know if you recognized it or not already...

Spillout at the Vill, Jamming in my head still {The Village, Manhattan}

After an amazing performance, at the Bowery Poetry Club, featuring Stereo Crowd, Freddy Feugo, Pitch Black, and more... I took a nice lil mosey down Houston st (i believe), headed toward the Bway Laffeyette station. And what did i find you ask... A delightful young character named Jasper, putting in wizzork on a hand drum. So me, being the charming young aspiring musician that I am, asked him if it was a djembe that he was playing, it was.. And he kindly asked me to join in... I DID.. after throwing down on the djembe for awhile, I busted out Ms. Monica, aka my harmonica, and got the jam into full swing. We were then joined by a female singer spitting some lyric on top of the mix, and many a passer-by.. Groovy times I say..
After the jam was wrapped, I head down the block to find this fruitfully artistic creation of a truck, sitting in the alleyway... Out came the camera.... Gotta love NYC.

The anarchy top hat is siiiccck, yet I don't think it's quite Uncle Sam's style.... GOOD

I don't know who this guy is...

Looks like some Canadian graff eh, this guy's work is all over Montreal, just amazing stuff. The artistic scene in the city of Montreal is just absurd, it's beautiful..

El Barrio {Manhattan, NY - USA}

The "Barrio" area in Harlem has always been a place with a rich cultural history. Some of the brightest writers, artists, and revolutionaries have called this area home. I am lucky enough to call it home as well. Check out this artistically styled plot of land, which could just as easily be nothing. But this area was maintained and turned into a beautiful piece of art.

I feel like this should be in a museum somewhere

Just plain beautiful

All Cops Aren't Bastards - Po-Art Vol.1 {Manhattan, NY - USA}

So me and some heads were rolling thru town on a strut.. and I saw an entrance to wonderment, and fantaboulous splendiffery... Then I come across an unsuspecting cop, posing for my picture no doubt... Not that he knew this, either way. Boosh...

Funky Milk Truck {Brighton Beach, Brooklyn}

So there's this area in BK called Sunset Park, I think, honestly I dont know if I just associated that name with a random area. But anyway, Sunset Park, rolling through and came to some police complex or impound or some shit. Had to turn around and found this funky-ass-truck parlaying in a parking lot. Oh Brooklyn.

for some reason I want to call this the "Funky ass milk truck" and I don't know why

the Mellow Mushroom S.A.G.A. {Savannah, GA - USA}

A good friend once said... "A pig'll eat anything"

Whose to say that a franchise can't be funky. Enter Mellow Mushroom, Savannah Georgia, a great place to qwel those pesky munchies, in an environment that's as touristy, as it is hippieish. Happy hour beer, yea, they got that, graffiti in the bathroom, yea they got that too.... Enjoy.....

Hey you!... Yea you!.... Go that way!

Sheepshead Bay - Disappointing day at the move-vay {Brooklyn, NY - USA}

So on my way to see what I thought was going to be an amazing movie, (Alice in Wonderland [2010]), I stumbled upon a lil bit of stress therapy. Y'all know his name.. Strong with the spinach, brolic with the finish.

(that's right)
Eye, Eye, Popeye.

No offense Tim but stick to the old stuff.

Alley Art (no disrespect) {Montreal, QC - Canada}

See to most people.. Walking down a empty alleyway, on a muggy day, in a neighborhood you've never been to, is a bad idea.. I don't really operate like that, so.. off I went into the back alleyways of Montreal. Greatest idea ever... and I only got stabbed twice.... Trust that alley art is not an insult, just check out some of these talented artists showing their skill.
I didn't get stabbed -__-

This is the way we live .Monty. {Montreal, QC - Canada}

Montreal has an insanely artistic cityscape, but it stretches out past the inner city. Here's a picture of an anime portrait, just painted on the side of someone's house, not store, house, as in residential. To see something this beautiful just painted on the side of someone's house was just amazing. Another example of why I love Montreal, and why I can appreciate any culture that values creative expression.

Beauty is indeed given for free...
[corny alert]
Almost reminds me of love :)...

"El Barrio" in Montreal... {Montreal, QC - Canada}

...Well, not so much. There really isn't any "El Barrio" in Montreal, but, if there was, this would definitely be the kind of art I would expect to see. It's seems so culturally inspired in what seemed to be a pretty bland part of town, not counting the amazing art work on almost every other wall. Had I known the neighborhood I was walking in, I could give a better description, but I don't. I spent the majority of my time in Montreal aimlessly walking around and enjoying every second of it.....

music and hard work.... i like it

Many more from Montreal on the way...
